Bengaluru is renowned for its tech hub and diverse food scene, but recently, a local resident has garnered attention for a heartwarming and humorous act—creating a professional CV for his cook. This gesture has captured social media’s attention, with users expressing admiration and amusement.

Where It All Started

It all started with a tweet by X user Urvi, who was seeking recommendations for a cook in the HSR area to prepare simple, homely food. “Heyy chat, I am looking for a cook in HSR who can make me some nice simple homely food, please share if you have leads?” she posted.

In response, Varun Peru, another Bengaluru resident, shared the CV of his cook, Ritu, encouraging Urvi to consider her for the role. “You should definitely consider Ritu Didi HSR’s MasterChef. She’s been amazing at her job—her simple, homely meals are the best! I even made a resume for her because she deserves the spotlight,” Varun wrote, attaching the CV.

The CV itself was a hilarious and engaging document, featuring a picture of Ritu and a list of her ‘skills and proficiencies’ that left the internet laughing. In the objective section, Ritu’s goal was simple yet endearing: “Bas ek hi goal hai, Aapko roz ghar jaisa khana milta rahe,” meaning, “To bring comfort and flavor to every meal by preparing simple, homely food that feels like it’s straight from your kitchen.”

Her skills ranged from cooking classic comfort food like Rajma-Chawal and Rasam Rice to being a “Staff-Safety Cooking” expert, ensuring a hygienic and well-organized kitchen. The CV even highlighted her versatility with both gas and induction cooking—”Perfect for any kitchen setup,” it stated.

The tweet quickly went viral, accumulating over 97k views and sparking a flood of reactions. One user commented, “This is what true appreciation for someone’s work looks like! Ritu didi deserves the world.” Another wrote, “This is the level of respect we should all show to our home help.” Many found humor in the CV’s lighthearted tone, with one user joking, “Can I hire her? I’m sold on the Rajma-Chawal!”

Varun’s thoughtful gesture also drew praise, with one X user saying, “Who knew a CV for a cook could go viral? Well done, Varun! You’ve made my day.” Others expressed admiration for Ritu’s unique CV, with one person stating, “Ritu Didi is a legend in the making, this CV is goals!”
