Jharkhand: Man Rapes and Chops Live-In Partner’s Body Into 40 Pieces

A shocking murder and dismemberment case has surfaced in theKhunti district of Jharkhand, where a 25-year-old butcher allegedly strangled his live-in partner to death and chopped her body into 40 to 50 pieces before dumping the remains in a forest. The gruesome discovery was made after a stray dog was found with human body parts in the area.

Victim and Accused’s Relationship Background

The accused, Naresh Bhengra, a butcher by profession, had been in a live-in relationship with the victim, a 24-year-old woman from the same district, for the past two years. The couple had been living together in Tamil Nadu. However, Bhengra secretly married another woman and returned to Jharkhand, leaving his partner behind without informing her of his new marital status. The woman, unaware of his marriage, insisted on returning to Jharkhand with him, where the tragedy unfolded.

Gruesome Discovery of Body Parts

This incident came to light on 24 November when some stray dogs were seen carrying human body parts near Jordag village in police station Jariagarh. Police launched an investigation and recovered several dismembered body parts from the forest. A bag containing the womans personal belongings, including her Aadhaar card, was also found. The mother of the deceased was sent to the scene, and she identified her daughters belongings; suspicion then fell over Bhengra for this crime.

Accused’s Confession and Crime Details

Bhengra, who had been working in a butcher shop in Tamil Nadu, admitted to the brutal crime. He confessed that he had strangled the woman with her dupatta after raping her and then dismembered her body into 40 to 50 pieces. He left the body parts in the forest, intending for wild animals to feast on them. Police arrested Bhengra following his confession.

The incident occurred on November 8, when Bhengra returned to Khunti with the woman. He took her to a remote location near his home, where he carried out the crime. Afterward, he returned to Tamil Nadu to live with his new wife, leaving his partner’s body behind.

Shock and Outrage

The gruesome nature of the crime has shocked the local community, with many drawing comparisons to the notorious Shraddha Walker murder case in Delhi in 2022, where a woman was also killed by her live-in partner, who then dismembered her body and discarded the remains in a jungle.

The case is still under investigation, and Bhengra has been arrested and charged with the brutal murder of his partner. The authorities are working to gather more details about the circumstances surrounding the crime.

This chilling case of violence and betrayal has stunned the region, and the police are continuing their investigation to ensure justice is served for the victim.
