Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has said that the construction of a new building for the state assembly was the only solution to deal witb the issue of space crunch as expansion the exisisting Vidhan Sabha complex was not possible because it is a heritage building.
“We should not pay attention to statements being made by leaders from Punjab. But Punjab government should also plan the construction of a new state assembly as they will also face similar probles as after delimitation process” , he added.
He said that all parties and leaders from Haryana are united on this issue and Haryana government to call all party meeting over the pending issues with Punjab including claims on Chandigarh and SYL canal.
Saini advised his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann to follow Supreme Court’s directions and work to sort out issues related to Punjab Farmers and stubble burning. Harassment Chief Minister said that the land (12 acres) proposed by Haryana to get 10 acres from Chandigarh is located on prome location and it is suitable for the Chandigarh Administration also. The Chief Minister said that the National Green Tribunal has given environmental clearance certificate for this land.
Saini has expressed confidence that the NDA will win assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand as people vote for the saffron party to get double engine government in both the states.
Replying a question about pending promises made by the BJP during Haryana Assembly Elections, the Chief Minister said that the government was bound to fulfil all the promises made to the people of Haryana including Rs 2100 monthly financial assistance to all women who have attained 18 years of age until they get eligible for the old age pension.

In an interaction with media persons on the concluding day of the Winter Session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha the Chief Minister said that the session was very fruitful and 13 bills were discussed in the four days session. He said that the BJP government has also ensured job security to contractual employees by bringing bills to this regard.
