Amit Shah Slams Rahul Gandhi Over Abroad Trips Amid Poll Campaign In Jharkhand

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday criticized Rahul Gandhi, accusing the opposition leader of making promises and then leaving for foreign trips. Shah claimed that the BJP, in contrast, always delivers on its commitments. “Rahul Baba makes promises and then flies abroad, but PM Modi’s promises are like those carved in stone,” Shah said at a rally in Madhupur, Deoghar. He added that only the BJP could shape the future of Jharkhand, while Congress, JMM, and RJD could never serve the state’s interests.

Shah also attacked the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led government, alleging that it had turned infiltrators into a vote bank, harming both tribals and youth by taking away jobs and increasing crime. He stated that the Jharkhand High Court had ordered the identification and deportation of infiltrators, but the Hemant Soren-led government had failed to act on it.

According to Shah, the Jharkhand elections are not just about changing political figures but about improving the future of the youth and poor while combating corruption. He promised that if the BJP were to come to power, Jharkhand would become the most prosperous state in five years, and India would be the third-largest economy by 2027.

Earlier, Shah had accused CM Hemant Soren of attempting to introduce reservations for Muslims through “backdoor channels” with Congress’s help and warned that the BJP would not let such plans succeed. He also accused Soren of allowing infiltrators to enter the state and marry tribal women, thereby diminishing the tribal population and taking away their land. “This will not be allowed,” he said.
