A pregnant woman and her family narrowly avoided disaster on Wednesday when the ambulance they were traveling in caught fire and exploded in Jalgaon district, Maharashtra, as reported by NDTV. The explosion was so powerful that it shattered the windows of nearby houses. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, and the explosion video quickly went viral online.

Details of the Incident

The explosion occurred on a national highway near the Dadawadi area in Jalgaon. The ambulance, which was transporting the pregnant woman and her family from Erandol Government Hospital to Jalgaon District Hospital, became the center of the frightening event.

The ambulance driver noticed smoke coming from the vehicle’s engine and immediately stopped. He quickly instructed the passengers to exit the ambulance and warned people nearby to move away from the vehicle. Moments later, the vehicle caught fire, and the flames spread to the oxygen tank, causing a large explosion. The blast’s loud noise was captured in the video, which has since gained widespread attention.

Ambulance Explosion in Uttar Pradesh

This is not the first incident of an ambulance explosion in India. Last month, a similar occurrence was reported in Pratapgarh district, Uttar Pradesh, as covered by The Times of India. An ambulance parked near a petrol pump caught fire, leading to an explosion shortly after.

The driver, Vivek Gupta, noticed smoke coming from his vehicle and quickly exited through the back door, unable to determine the cause of the smoke. He tried to put out the fire with the help of petrol pump workers but was unsuccessful. The fire eventually reached the ambulance’s oxygen tank, triggering an explosion.

A passerby, 20-year-old Amar Jaiswal, was injured in the blast and was later treated at a nearby hospital. Police confirmed that the ambulance was not associated with any hospital and had been brought from Delhi to operate as a private service.
