The ‘Great Indian Kapil Show’ is bringing back crowd-favorite guests with one big episode after another. Following this weekend’s popular episode featuring Narayana and Sudha Murthy along with Deepinder and Gia Goyal, the upcoming episode promises an exciting reunion between host Kapil Sharma and former judge Navjot Singh Sidhu.

In a recently released promo, Sidhu can be seen seated in the guest judge’s chair. Kapil humorously suggests that this might just be Sunil Grover disguised as Sidhu, but Sidhu promptly clarifies that he is indeed “the real deal.” Archana Puran Singh, who has been holding Sidhu’s place for years, jokingly expresses concern, asking Kapil if Sidhu is here to reclaim his former spot.

The next episode will also feature cricketer Harbhajan Singh with his wife Geeta Basra. Sunil Grover, known for his comic impersonations, will also appear in the role of Sidhu.

Sidhu had stepped away from ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ in 2019 following his comments on the Pulwama attack, where he emphasized dialogue over attributing terrorism to an entire country. His remarks led to a significant backlash, with calls for his removal, after which Archana Puran Singh took over his position.

Archana previously addressed the potential of Sidhu’s return. In a 2021 interview with The Times of India, she said, “If Sidhu would seriously re-enter the show in my place, I will have many other things to do, which I have refused in the past few months. Since I am shooting for two days in a week for the show, I can’t take up any assignment, which is out of Mumbai or India. In the past few months, I got several opportunities to shoot in London and other foreign countries but I had to say a no because of my commitment to the show.”
