The body of a 50-year-old woman was discovered in a gruesome state in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, on Wednesday, just two days after she was reported missing. Anita Chaudhary, who operated a beauty parlour in Jodhpur, was last seen on October 27 when she closed her salon at around 2:30 PM. She failed to return home that evening, leading her husband, Manmohan Chaudhary, aged 56, to file a missing person report with the police the following day.
Investigators traced Chaudhary’s last known whereabouts using her mobile location and call records, which led them to the residence of a man named Gul Mohammad, an old family friend who Chaudhary reportedly considered a brother. Upon interrogation, Mohammad’s wife allegedly disclosed crucial information, indicating that Chaudhary’s body had been buried behind their house.
