Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his condolences to Noel Tata, Ratan Tata’s half-brother, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend Tata’s last rites on behalf of the Government of India. Noel Tata in Line as Possible Successor

Following Ratan Tata’s death, speculation about his successor has emerged, with Noel Naval Tata, Ratan Tata’s half-brother, being a potential candidate. Noel Tata has been with the Tata Group for over 40 years, holding key positions in Tata companies. Currently, he serves as Chairman of Trent, Tata International, Voltas, and Tata Investment Corporation, and as Vice Chairman of Tata Steel and Titan. He also serves as a trustee on the boards of the Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust.
