Bihar: Tejashwi Accused of Stripping Official Bungalow of Air Conditioner, Light Fixtures Amid Bail Drama

The Bihar political scene has erupted once again with a fresh controversy involving former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. BJP’s Danish Iqbal has accused Yadav of taking not just furniture but also essentials like air conditioners, light fixtures, and even the mat from a badminton court when vacating his official bungalow. Iqbal pointed to the missing base of the bed, water taps, and more, claiming it reflects Yadav’s “mentality and upbringing.”

This comes amid heightened tensions as the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) continues to face scrutiny in the ongoing land-for-jobs scam. In a separate development, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi, and other family members were granted bail in Delhi, where they are being investigated in connection with money laundering allegations related to the scam. The next court hearing is scheduled for October 25.

Adding to the political drama, the bungalow vacated by Tejashwi was to be occupied by Bihar’s current Deputy CM, Samrat Chaudhary, during Navratri. However, Chaudhary’s move has been delayed as allegations about the missing items from the residence intensify the political slugfest. BJP leaders, including Union Minister Giriraj Singh, are demanding a full investigation into the matter, which could further escalate the situation in the state.
