India’s Mayank Yadav And Nitish Kumar Reddy Shine In T20I Debut Against Bangladesh

The Indian team is set to take on Bangladesh in the first of three T20I matches today in Gwalior with speedster Mayank Yadav and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy making their international debuts.

Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav chose to bowl first after winning the toss, thus revealing the presence of the two young talents in the playing XI.

We’ll look to bowl first. It does look humid; I don’t think the wicket will change later on. Always a great feeling coming back home and playing in home conditions. We are really excited for that. There’s a lot of talent involved in the group. The energy is great, and most importantly, the guys are keen to learn. That’s a great thing,” Suryakumar said in the post-toss interview.

Delhi boy ] gets maiden national call-up as pacer, coming in for a Bangladesh series, after impressive stint for LSG during the IPL 2024. Being a right-arm bowler, he ran over 150 kmph for the KL Rahul-led team but missed most of the season with injury. Now entirely fit, he will finally make his debut.

Nitish Kumar Reddy, the promising all-rounder from Andhra Pradesh, after missing the first, will eventually represent India. The son of Mutyala waited for many years and laboured hard before he went on to make a mark for himself in the Indian Squad after an excellent IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, just a few days after his name got into the list of the squad that was to be sent to Zimbabwe, a hernia issue did not allow him to play.
