Rajasthan CM Targets Congress Over Corruption in Haryana

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, while addressing a public gathering in Haryana on Thursday, targeted the Congress party, claiming that before 2014, the country was rife with corruption and scandals. The event was held in support of BJP candidate Krishna Gehlawat at the community hall of the Rai Assembly constituency.

The CM stated that the era before 2014, under Congress rule, was marked by corruption, but since then, there has been greater control over corruption under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He praised PM Modi for enhancing the respect and well-being of farmers through various schemes, including the Kisan Samman Nidhi and the Credit Card Scheme.

Comparing Congress and BJP’s Impact on Farmers

Bhajanlal Sharma contrasted the treatment of farmers under the Congress and BJP governments, emphasizing that during Congress rule in Rajasthan, farmers’ millet sold for Rs. 1200 to 1300 per quintal. In contrast, under the BJP’s governance in Haryana, the price rose to over Rs. 2200 per quintal.

Development and Security Achievements Post-2014

Highlighting achievements since 2014, CM Sharma said that Prime Minister Modi has introduced several welfare schemes for the poor, launched development projects, and eradicated terrorism and naxalism, which contributed to India’s growing prestige on the global stage. He noted that incidents of bomb blasts, which were common at public places before 2014, have significantly reduced due to strong responses against terrorism and enemy nations.

Criticism of Congress’s Political Stance and Promises

The Rajasthan Chief Minister criticized Congress for its false promises in past manifestos and questioned Rahul Gandhi’s relationship with groups that aim to divide the country. He accused Congress leaders, including Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Dr. Manmohan Singh, and Rahul Gandhi, of having no real connection with the poor and supporting divisive forces instead.

BJP’s Focus on Welfare Programs

CM Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that the BJP is a party for the people, not based on caste, dynasty, or family ties. He accused Congress of failing to support SC-ST communities and pointed out that the party had once worked to defeat Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in elections. He also highlighted the successful implementation of the One Rank-One Pension scheme, the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and the “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao” campaign, all initiated by PM Modi.
