Lately, former Deputy CM and Congress candidate from Panchkula Chandermohan released his manifesto on September 25. During a press conference held at Ramgarh fort, the spokesperson said that the manifesto contains a list of more than hundred works which would be fulfilled if the people elect Chandermohan as their MLA.
‘What tops our priority is the availability of the MLA at the public convenience. We work for the people of Panchkula and promise to be available 24×7 for 365 days. We shall work to make Panchkula better than Paris.’ Said Chandermohan.
Speaking on the occasion, Sidharth Bishnoi, Chandermohan’s son said that most points in the manifesto were made after interacting with people from all sects of the constituency. He also launched scathing attacks on BJP candidate Gian Chand Gupta by saying that people need a listener more than they need a Speaker.
While releasing these promises, the former Deputy CM emphasized that the issue of the dumping ground in Jhooriwala and Sector 23, here, would be permanently resolved. ‘Efforts will be made to end the enhancement charges for all sector residents. Three-marla plots will be provided to colony residents, and BPL cards will be issued for those in need.’ Said the spokesperson.
Additionally, the manifesto promisedto construct a film city in Panchkula to promote artists and Haryana’s culture. Focusing on unemployment, the manifesto also promises to makeefforts to convert the industrial area into a commercial zone to attract national and international companies, thereby creating job opportunities. ‘Furthermore, vacancies in government and non-government departments, boards, and corporations will be filled from the SC/BC backlog.’ Said the spokesperson.
The manifesto promised to install solar plants to ensure electricity access in every village.‘Efforts will also be made to address the issue of flies and mosquitoes in the Barwala block. Electric cables will be placed underground.’ Said the spokesperson.The manifesto promised to resolute to set up an international-level library in Panchkula and Barwala. It also stated that a stadium and experienced coaches will be provided in Batour village. Emergency services in Panchkula will be improved, and physiotherapy and orthopedic centers will be established. New roads will be built, elderly safety will be ensured, and doorstep medical facilities will be provided. Police beat booths will be established in every sector, colony, and village to improve law and order. All types of medicines will be made available in government hospitals.
The manifesto stated that a Shagun amount of Rs 1,21,000 will be given to single women from Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes upon their daughters’ marriages. Farmers’ loans will be waived, and crop payments will be made within 48 hours. Tube well connections will be provided for agricultural purposes.Chandermohan highlighted that people currently have to go to Chandigarh for bus services to neighboring states and cities, which is far away. ‘If the Congress government comes to power, an ISBT will be established in Panchkula, making it easier for residents of Panchkula and nearby areas to access buses to Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh without traveling far.’ Said Chandermohan.
The manifesto also announced various allowances, including a risk allowance of Rs 5,000 for sanitation workers and an insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh. Scholarships of Rs 10,000 and Rs 12,000 per year will be given to students of classes 10 and 12, respectively. Unemployed graduates will receive a monthly unemployment allowance of Rs 7,000, while postgraduates will receive Rs 12,000. Special public transport facilities will be provided for all students.
The manifesto also stated that the beautification of the herbal park located beyond Ghaggar will be undertaken, and sewerage systems will be improved for drainage of rainwater in Panchkula city and villages. Cleanliness in roads, parks, and parking areas will be prioritized, and parking fees will be eliminated in Panchkula. CCTV cameras will be installed in both rural and urban areas.Liquor vends will be relocated outside residential areas, and efforts will be made to make Panchkula drug-free.
On Wednesday, Chandermohan held public meetings in Sector 25 Barwala, Panchkula Court, Ramgarh, Sector 19, Sector 11, Sector 10, Sector 21, Sector 20, Sector 12A, and Moghinnand. A large number of people participated in these gatherings. On this occasion, central figures from various parties joined the Congress.
