Rajnath Singh Inaugurates Sainik School at Bhawani Niketan

The third Sainik School of the state has been inaugrated in the capital Jaipur. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday inaugurated the Sainik School in the campus of Shri Bhawani Niketan Education Committee located on Sikar Road. On this occasion, he said that the central government has set a target of setting up 100 new Sainik Schools across India, out of which 45 schools were approved to be opened in collaboration with the state government, NGOs and private schools. Studies have started in 40 of these schools. He said that the 100 new Sainik Schools being set up on PPP mode are in addition to the existing 33 Sainik Schools. These new schools to be set up will function under the aegis of the Sainik School Society, apart from affiliation with the respective education board. They will follow the rules and regulations of the society. They will impart academic plus curriculum to the students of Sainik School pattern in addition to their regular affiliated board curriculum.
At the inauguration ceremony, the defence minister said that Rajasthan is the land of heroes. Many representatives of valour and courage like Maharana Pratap, Prithviraj Chauhan, Maharaj Surajmal and Sawai Jai Singh were born on this land. The resolve to protect the motherland and to sacrifice even one’s life for its protection is settled in every particle of this land. He expressed confidence that the students of this Sainik School will be imbued with the spirit of patriotism. Also, they will get proper guidance to join the military services of India.
The defence minister said that whenever there is talk of PPP model, it is understood as Public Private Partnership, but now the time is changing. Now PPP means Private Public Partnership. At present, the role of the private sector is much more than the public sector in almost every sector of the economy. The private sector has a major role in the country’s economy, with agriculture, manufacturing and service sectors contributing significantly. The defence minister expressed confidence that the private and public sectors will come together to provide the best education to our future generations through these new Sainik Schools.
Rajnath Singh said that the contribution of education is important in the development of the country. Sainik schools are contributing significantly to the physical, mental and social development of the future generation. He said that Sainik schools will play an important role in the all-round development of the students as well as in inculcating the values of discipline, patriotism and courage. The Union Defence Minister said that the students of Sainik Schools are today occupying high positions in the Army. Presently, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi are also alumni of Sainik School, Rewa. He said that the students of Sainik Schools can choose any other career apart from the armed forces and contribute to the service of the country. He urged the students to never give up and keep working hard to achieve their goals.
At the ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said, “I am myself a daughter of a soldier and I am proud of it. Many families of soldiers live in Rajasthan. Opening of Sainik School here will help such families. After the year 2014, the prime minister and the defence minister made it clear that now there is a strong defence circle in the country, so there is nothing to worry about. No interference will be tolerated in the new India. The prime minister boosts the morale of the soldiers on festivals. The government stands with the army. The defence minister himself has also been giving this message. In 2021, the centre had approved 100 Sainik Schools. Now school education will also be imbibed with the spirit of patriotism.”
Military Welfare Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore said, “The whole of Rajasthan has got the gift of another historic Sainik School. This is a proud moment for all of us. This school will provide proper guidance to patriotic youth to join the armed forces and serve the motherland.

Sainik schools provide academic knowledge and inculcate the values of discipline, patriotism and courage for the overall development of youth. This new Sainik school will provide a direction to the children to serve their motherland. This school will prove to be a boon for the patriotic youth of the state. They will be provided proper guidance and necessary infrastructure to join the armed forces and serve the country.”
Education Minister Madan Dilawar, MP Manju Sharma, former Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore and former MP Ramcharan Bohra were also present at the event.
