The Departments of Psychology and Geography at Government College, Kalka, recently organized an impactful lecture aimed at promoting mental health and environmental responsibility among students. Collaborating with the National Social Organization, the event was guided by Professor Dr. Gulshan Kumar and Professor Dr. Navneet Nancy, with Principal Promila Malik overseeing the proceedings.
The keynote speaker, Rambeer Singh Rohj from the Excise and Taxation Department, is also affiliated with the National Social Organization, an NGO dedicated to societal upliftment. His insights emphasized the importance of mental well-being, urging students to prioritize their mental health as a crucial step toward contributing to a happier India. The lecture also highlighted the urgent need for environmental conservation, encouraging students to take active responsibility for safeguarding the planet for future generations.
Nisha, an activist from the National Social Organization, hosted the event, facilitating discussions that resonated with the audience. The message was clear: mental health is vital for individual well-being and societal progress, and students must recognize their role in fostering a healthier environment.
Principal Promila Malik concluded the lecture with inspiring remarks, urging students to cultivate personal connections rather than relying on social media as an escape from their problems. She encouraged them to share their personal challenges with family and friends, reinforcing the idea that open communication is key to mental wellness.
Professors Dr. Ravinder Sheoran, Sonu, Dr. Vinay Rajput, Mona, and Dr. Bindu played significant roles in the success of the event, contributing their expertise and support.

Overall, the lecture served as a powerful reminder of the intertwined nature of mental health and environmental stewardship, leaving students motivated to take action in both areas.
