Stand-up comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui has left Delhi and returned to Mumbai after police uncovered a potential death threat against him. The threat came to light during an investigation into another shooting case, prompting authorities to enhance security measures at the hotel where he was staying.

Death Threat Uncovered During Interrogation
Delhi Police received intelligence about the threat on Saturday night while questioning suspects related to a separate shooting case. During the interrogation, the suspects revealed that they had been instructed to conduct surveillance of Munawar’s hotel for a possible targeted attack.

Security Measures Taken
Following the tip-off, a search operation was conducted at both the IGI indoor stadium, where Munawar was scheduled to attend the Entertainers Cricket League (ECL), and the hotel where he was staying. His room was examined, and security was heightened at the venue where teams Haryanvi Hunters and Mumbai Disruptors were set to play.

No Official Statement Yet
Neither Munawar Faruqui nor the management of the ECL has released an official statement regarding the incident. However, police officials remain stationed outside the hotel, and further investigation is underway.

Elvish Yadav Also Receives Threats
In a related incident, Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav, who was set to play against Munawar in the Entertainers Cricket League, also reportedly received death threats on Monday. Security officials quickly evacuated the stadium, sealing the gates and allowing the match to be played without an audience.

With threats against both Munawar Faruqui and Elvish Yadav, the investigation continues, and security measures remain tight.
