School students from Barhampur district experienced a free ride on the Brahmapur-Tata Nagar Vande Bharat Express during its inaugural run on Sunday. The train was virtually flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A total of 150 students from the East Coast Railway Mixed Higher Secondary School in Khurda boarded the train to travel to Khurda Junction. For many of these students, this was their first time experiencing a journey on the Vande Bharat Express.

Priyanka Sahoo, a Class 10 student, shared her excitement about the journey: “I am feeling very nice about traveling in the Vande Bharat train. The Prime Minister will be inaugurating the train. Everything is clean on the train, there are cameras and food service. We are excited,” she said.

Another student commented on the improved services, noting that the train was very clean and that the washrooms were in excellent condition. “The services in the trains have improved significantly, including the safety, automated doors, and clean washrooms. The country is developing at a good rate,” the student added.
