Shocking Video: Man’s Close Encounter With World’s Oldest Crocodile Leaves Internet In Awe

The attention surrounds a viral video featuring a 123-year-old massive Nile crocodile named Henry. It has scored over 4 million views. Robert Alleva, a TV personality hosting Kings of Pain, shares it on his account by an Instagram sharing made at the filming location-Crocworld Conservation Centre in South Africa.

In the clip, Alleva moves forward, coming up to the huge crocodile from behind. At this time, Henry roars and flails his jaws wide open. For his part, Alleva remains unruffled, having a calm mind and asserts, “This is cool. I haven’t been scared about anything in ages. So, great, at the moment, it’s amazing.”

As per the post by Alleva in Instagram, he admits having liked Henry for a long time and was inspired by British naturalist Steve Backshall’s encounters with this long-known boodle barracuda. Ever since I saw Steve Backshall with Henry, I’ve wanted to meet this Nile croc. Well. be careful what you wish for!! I was as intimidated, as I was fascinated!! Henry is reported to be the oldest known croc in the world, born in 1900. That’s right, he’s soon to have his 124th birthday. Big thanks to Crocworld Conservation Centre for letting me get up close and personal with this stunning reptile! I’ll have to return and revisit, and if you’re visiting South Africa, a visit to CrocWorld is a must!

Different responses have been met depending on the video’s social media shares. While most praised Alleva for his bravery, others raised a concern as to what risks the creature posed while positioned close to a wild animal. Many more could be seen comparing Henry’s appearance to that of a dinosaur based on its age and ancestry. One viewer quoted, “Oldest croc in captivity. Who knows what’s out there? ” the other said, “This is the coolest thing ever! Others were concerned that these animals must be preserved, and one commented, “These animals are magnificent, a true marvel of nature. To think they survived the ice age as well, incredible! undefinedProtect these creatures at all costs, not to be made into bags or shoes! Give ’em their due respect. Some added just a touch of levity to their answers, one sarcastically quipping that he “almost made you his birthday dinner,” another saying “Damn, I saw your life flash before my eyes…”
