Train Accident in Arunachal Pradesh: 52-Year-Old Killed, Grandchild Injured as Train Collides with Car

A tragic train accident in Lower Siang district, Arunachal Pradesh, resulted in the death of a 52-year-old man and injuries to his grandchild. The incident occurred on Friday around 3:50 PM near Pale, Dimow, according to GRP Assistant Sub-Inspector Ganesh Hazarika.

The deceased, Rigo Riba, a sub-inspector with the Indian Reserve Battalion, was traveling with his seven-year-old grandchild from Pasighat in East Siang district to their native village. Their vehicle was struck by the Murkongselek-Tezpur special train, which was en route to Dekargaon in Assam. The collision dragged the car for approximately one kilometer.

Riba died at the scene, while his grandchild was rushed to Dibrugarh in Assam for further medical care.
