With the pivotal 2024 US presidential debate just days away, both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are ramping up their efforts to secure a decisive victory. Despite publicly claiming he doesn’t need formal debate preparation, Trump has been holding informal sessions with his team of advisors, including GOP Representative Matt Gaetz and former Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard, according to an ABC News report. Notably, Gabbard had previously confronted Harris on the debate stage in 2019.

Gaetz is assisting Trump in preparing for tough questions related to his legal challenges, including federal indictments on election interference, retention of classified documents, his criminal conviction in the New York hush-money case, and his stance on abortion. Trump is also reviewing Harris’s past debate performance against former Vice President Mike Pence, particularly focusing on her viral moment where she asserted, “Mr. Vice President, I’m speaking.”

Concerns are mounting within the GOP over Trump’s recent comments on childcare, prompting a cautious approach from his team. Recently, Trump struggled to answer a question about his childcare plans, delivering a rambling response that failed to provide a clear answer. The incident, which quickly went viral, led to questions about his mental acuity.

Meanwhile, Harris has been engaging in traditional debate preparation in Pittsburgh. On Sunday, she was spotted walking with Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff. When approached by a reporter and asked if she was ready for the debate, Harris ignored the question and quickly disappeared around a building.
