DDA Sasta Ghar Scheme 2024: Who Can Apply for 34,000 Homes In Delhi?

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has rolled out the Sasta Ghar Scheme 2024, a major housing initiative aimed at making home ownership more accessible for Delhi’s residents, particularly those in lower income brackets. This scheme is part of the government’s broader mission to offer affordable housing to a larger section of the population.

Affordable Homes Across Multiple Delhi Locations

The DDA Sasta Ghar Scheme 2024 targets the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Low-Income Groups (LIG), offering affordable housing options in various localities, including Narela, Rohini, Siraspur, Ramgarh Colony, and Loknayakpuram. The scheme will see around 34,177 flats made available in different phases, sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility and Income Criteria

To apply for the EWS category, applicants must have a family income of up to Rs 10 lakh per annum. There is no income criterion for the LIG category, opening the scheme to a broader range of applicants. Additionally, all Indian citizens over the age of 18 are eligible to apply, with no restrictions on owning property in Delhi.

Key Dates and Registration Process

Online registration for the DDA Housing Scheme 2024 commenced on August 22, 2024, at 11 am, and flat bookings will begin on September 10, 2024, at 11 am. On the first day of registration, 750 people signed up for the scheme.

Price Range and Payment Options

Prices for the flats range from Rs 11.54 lakh for EWS to Rs 25.2 lakh for LIG units. While most buyers are required to pay in full at the time of purchase, applicants from the Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) category have the option to pay in Equated Monthly Instalments (EMIs), with a simple interest rate of 10% per annum on a monthly reducing balance.

How to Apply

The application process is entirely online, ensuring easy access and transparency. Interested applicants can visit the DDA’s official website to create login credentials and register for the scheme by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 2,500 (including GST). Those who have already registered in FCFS Phase IV or the Diwali Special Housing Scheme 2023 do not need to register again.

Additional Housing Schemes by DDA

In addition to the Sasta Ghar Scheme, the DDA is offering flats under its General Housing Scheme 2024 and Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024. The General Housing Scheme includes 5,531 flats starting at Rs 29 lakh in Jasola, Loknayakpuram, and Narela, targeting HIG, MIG, and LIG categories. The Dwarka Housing Scheme offers 173 flats starting at Rs 1.28 crore in Dwarka’s sectors 14, 16B, and 19B.

The launch of the Sasta Ghar Scheme 2024 reflects DDA’s commitment to providing affordable housing and improving the living standards of Delhi’s residents.
