Meet Sunil Kumar, ‘The Great Khali of Jammu,’ Playing Sarkata In ‘Stree 2’

In Amar Kaushik’s blockbuster horror comedy Stree 2, a new villain named Sarkata makes a striking entrance. Sarkata, a formidable ghost with a detachable head, abducts progressive women from Chanderi. While the character is primarily created through CGI, the actor behind Sarkata is Sunil Kumar.

Who is Sunil Kumar?

Sunil Kumar, credited for playing Sarkata, is a Jammu-based professional wrestler and police constable. He has also participated in WWE Tryouts in 2019, aiming to represent India on the global wrestling stage. Known as “The Great Khali of Jammu,” Sunil stands at an impressive 7 feet 6 inches, surpassing the height of WWE legend The Great Khali by five inches. Sunil’s wrestling persona is “The Great Angaar.”

Amar Kaushik revealed in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, “The casting team found him. We wanted a man with such a height, and he fit the bill. We used his body shots while the face of Sarkata was generated through CGI.”
