Chief Justice Hosts National Flag At High Court Srinagar For 78th Independence Day

Chief Justice Hosts National Flag At High Court Srinagar For 78th Independence Day

Srinagar, August 15: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh commemorated the 78th Independence Day with a solemn ceremony at the High Court Wing in Srinagar today. Chief Justice (A) Justice Tashi Rabstan presided over the event, hoisting the National Flag and extending his congratulations to all attendees.

The ceremony was attended by judges stationed at the Srinagar wing of the High Court, including Justice Atul Sreedharan, Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, Justice Puneet Gupta, Justice Javed Iqbal Wani, Justice Mohd. Akram Chowdhary, and Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi.

Also present were the Advocate General of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir, senior advocates, the Registrar General, and judicial officers from both the main and Srinagar wings of the Registry. The Principal District and Sessions Judge of Srinagar, along with judicial officers from his district, also participated in the event.

Following the flag hoisting, a contingent of Armed Forces played patriotic songs and tunes. Justice Tashi Rabstan distributed sweets among the members of the Armed Forces as a gesture of appreciation and camaraderie.

The event highlighted the significance of Independence Day and the collective dedication of the judiciary and legal community to upholding the values of the nation.
