Sharjah Finance Department And ARADO Launch Third Edition Of Sharjah Award For Public Finance

The Sharjah Finance Department (SFD) and the Arab Administrative Development Organisation (ARADO) have unveiled the third edition of the Sharjah Award for Public Finance. This award seeks to foster a culture of excellence among Arab financial institutions by encouraging the adoption of high standards and the exchange of best practices. The launch was announced at a ceremony attended by prominent officials, including Sheikh Rashid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Director of SFD, and Salem Youssef Al Qaseer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Sheikh Rashid highlighted the award’s significance in enhancing public finance and supporting sustainable development. Meanwhile, Salem Al Qaseer noted the award’s expansion to 22 categories and revealed plans for promotional tours and workshops throughout Arab countries.

The upcoming cycle will feature the second Arab Financial Forum, where former winners will mentor participants. Dr Nasser Al Hatlan Al Qahtani, Director-General of ARADO, emphasised the award’s role in improving the performance of Arab financial institutions. An introductory presentation outlined the award’s criteria and categories, with registration open from August 2024 through April/May 2025.
