A Demanding Girlfriend, 1.50 Lakh Loan And Police Drama: Love Story Gone Wrong

A Bihar boy took ‘If he wanted to, he would’ a little bit too seriously! Gifting brings a sense of joy to both, the giver and the receiver. However, one must understand where to stop. An incident where a girlfriend kept asking for expensive gifts from her partner ended up in a police case.

In Muzaffarpur, Bihar, a boy working at a cloth trader’s shop took a loan of Rs 1.50 lakh to meet his girlfriend’s growing demands for expensive gifts. As his girlfriend’s requests escalated and he ran out of money. Afterwards, he took the loan and eloped with her. The boy then married the underage girl.

The girl’s family subsequently filed an abduction report at Kazi Mohammadpur Police Station. The police rescued the girl from the boy’s home and arrested him. He was later granted bail, but he had forgotten about the loan he took. The shopkeeper began pressuring him for repayment, leading to a dispute that escalated to police involvement. The police intervened and took both parties to the station, where the issue was resolved through negotiation.

Police official Sharat Kumar stated, “The boy took the money and ran with his girlfriend. He was arrested after the family of the girl registered a complaint against him. But he was later granted bail. However, after being released, a dispute arose over the money he took on loan. However, the matter has now been resolved through mutual negotiations.”
