Jammu, August 02: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) Jammu has attached immovable property in Budgam belonging to top Pakistan-based Hizb-ul-Momineen/Hizb-ul-Mujahideen terrorist Kifayat Rizvi, son of Dr. Sadiq Rizvi, resident of HMT Srinagar.
The property, comprising land measuring one Kanal and three Marlas located in village Shariefabad HMT Srinagar, revenue district Budgam, was attached on Thursday under the orders of the Hon’ble court of the 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu (NIA court in Jammu). The specific land parcels fall under Khiwat numbers 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 20, and 24 and Khasara numbers 22 min, 31 min, 33 min, 161 min, 167 min, 168 min, 169 min, 182 min, 198 min, 481 min, and 559 min.
Kifayat Rizvi has been involved in terror funding activities. His Over Ground Worker (OGW), Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, son of Ali Mohd Bhat, was arrested for distributing terror funds under Rizvi’s direction. Rizvi, currently operating from Pakistan, was chargesheeted U/S 299 CrPC and is wanted by SIA for his role in terrorist, secessionist, and anti-national activities. This case also implicates former minister Jatinder Singh, also known as Babu Singh.
The case, initially registered as FIR No. 73/2022, was taken over by SIA on April 19, 2022, following the arrest of Mohd. Shareef Shah with a significant amount of narco-terror cash. The allegations stated that they were operating under ISI’s direction and their agents in Pakistan to finance Jammu-based separatists for subversive activities against India’s sovereignty, integrity, and security.
Subsequently, one primary and four supplementary chargesheets were submitted before the Hon’ble designated NIA court, Jammu, against eighteen accused individuals. Among those charged are Mohd Shareef Shah, Jatinder Singh (Babu Singh), Mohd Hussain Khateeb, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Kifayat Rizvi, Mubashir Mushtaq Fafoo, Mohd Rafiq Najar, Aijaz Ahmad Sayam, Farooq Ahmad Naikoo, Mohd Arshad, Syed Ashiq Elahi, Tariq Ahmad Malla, Mohd Sharief Chechi, Farooq Ahmad Jungal, Saif Din, Javid Chalkoo, Hamidullah Khuroo, and Farooq Ahmad Shawl.
Twelve of these accused were arrested by SIA, while six remain at large in Pakistan and have been declared proclaimed offenders by the Hon’ble court. SIA is in the process of attaching properties of additional terrorists operating from Pakistan as part of its crackdown on terror operatives in Jammu and Kashmir.
