Top leaders from major opposition parties are set to join a protest at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday. The demonstration is in response to concerns about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s health while he’s in Tihar Jail.

Kejriwal is currently under judicial custody until August 8. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of conspiring against Kejriwal, citing medical reports that show his blood sugar levels dropped significantly between June 3 and July 7.

On July 15, Delhi Minister Atishi claimed that Kejriwal has experienced rapid and unexplained weight loss, blaming the BJP for any harm that might come to him. She noted that Kejriwal’s weight dropped from 70 kg to 61.5 kg since his arrest on March 21.

Kejriwal is under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for alleged corruption and money laundering related to a now-canceled Delhi liquor policy. He was first arrested by the ED for money laundering and later placed under judicial custody by the CBI.

A Delhi court has extended Kejriwal’s custody until August 8. The CBI has filed its fifth and final charge sheet, labeling Kejriwal as the key figure in the alleged liquor scam and promising to push for a swift trial.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh announced that leaders from several parties in the INDIA bloc, including Congress, Samajwadi Party, Trinamool Congress, DMK, CPI, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, NCP, Shiv Sena (UBT), and CPI (ML) Liberation, will join the protest. He also mentioned that they are in talks with a few more parties.
