Indian rifle shooter Ramita Jindal narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing seventh in the women’s 10-meter air rifle final at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Monday. This was her debut at the Olympics.

In a conversation with ANI, Ramita reflected on her experience, describing the season as highly rewarding. She shared, “The experience has been really great for me. I’ve learned a lot here and will definitely take these lessons with me. The insights I’ve gained will be valuable for the upcoming season.”

She acknowledged the significant skills and growth achieved during this period and expressed a commitment to applying these lessons to future competitions. Ramita also offered praise to Manu Bhaker, who won a bronze medal, and highlighted the inspiration this provided. She said, “Manu’s medal has given us hope. Since Manu and I have been competing for a long time, her achievement is motivating. If she can do it, then we can too. The team is very confident now.”

Ramita admired Bhaker’s dedication and hard work, calling her an inspiration. “When I began my career, Manu was already competing in Tokyo and in great form. I’ve been observing her for the last four years. She is very hardworking and truly deserves the medal. Everyone will look up to her dedication and accomplishments,” Ramita noted.

She emphasized that the entire shooting team has put in considerable effort and is in excellent form, which bodes well for future successes. “Our team has worked really hard, and we are all very competitive and in good shape.
