Janhvi Kapoor Talks Career Risks and Rewards: “I Could Have Opted for Big Commercial Films”

Janhvi Kapoor is making headlines as she promotes her upcoming film Ulajh, a political thriller scheduled for release on August 2. In a recent interview with Mashable, Kapoor discussed her career choices, shedding light on her preference for challenging roles over more straightforward, commercial successes.

Janhvi Kapoor, who made her acting debut in 2018 with Dhadak, has intentionally selected projects that veer away from the typical glamorous and commercial route. She revealed, “I could have chosen an easier path with big commercial films that offer guaranteed popularity and box office numbers. Instead, I opted for roles that come with more risk and uncertainty.” This decision highlights her willingness to forego immediate success for the sake of artistic growth.

Kapoor’s career has seen a mix of successes and failures at the box office, a consequence of her decision to pick high-risk films. Despite this, she feels that her approach has been more rewarding in the long run. She explained, “I know this is a longer and tougher journey, but the growth I’ve experienced as an artist has been more gratifying than if I had taken the easier route.”

Looking ahead, Kapoor has several exciting projects in the pipeline. She is set to make her Tollywood debut with Devara: Part 1, where she will star alongside NTR Jr. Additionally, she has signed on for a film directed by Buchi Babu Sana featuring Ram Charan and will appear in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari opposite Varun Dhawan.

Janhvi Kapoor’s approach to her career reflects a deep commitment to evolving as an actor. By choosing roles that challenge her and embrace risk, she demonstrates a dedication to her craft that goes beyond commercial success.
