India reported 11,427 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, pushing the tally to 1,07,57,610. The country also recorded 11,858 discharges, while 118 people succumbed to the infection.

The national capital reported 121 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths due to the disease in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest in 10 months. With this, the death count mounted to 10,856 and the cumulative Covid-19 case count rose to 6,35,217. The tally of active cases has dropped to 12,265 from 1,361, in addition to the 6,23,096 patients who have recovered, been discharged or migrated so far.

The number of fresh coronavirus-positive cases in Maharashtra fell below 2,000 in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of infections to 20,28,347. The state added 1,948 new cases during the day, while 27 people succumbed to Covid-19, taking the total fatality count to 51,109. A total of 3,289 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the overall number of recoveries in Maharashtra to 19,32,294. The state is now left with 43,701 active cases. Maharashtra›s case recovery rate stands at 95.26 percent currently, while the fatality rate is 2.52 percent.

Four more people died from the novel coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh as 171 fresh cases surfaced, pushing the infection count to 6,00,470. So far, 8,662 people have succumbed to the disease in the state. The number of active cases has come down to 5,303. Till now, 5,86,505 people have recovered from the infection in the state.

Madhya Pradesh reported 151 fresh coronavirus-positive cases and two deaths in the last 24 hours. With this, the cumulative caseload in MP reached 2,55,263 and the death toll rose to 3,812. A total of 260 people were discharged from hospitals after treatment in the last 24 hours, taking the number of recoveries in Madhya Pradesh to 2,48,897.

Karnataka logged 388 new Covid-19 cases and three related fatalities, taking its total infection count to 9,39,775 and the toll to 12,220. The day also saw 470 patients getting discharged after recovery. Cumulatively, 9,39,775 Covid-19 positive cases have been confirmed in the state, which includes 12,220 deaths and 9,21,592 discharges.

An addition of 502 daily coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu took the total number of infections in the state to 8,38,842. After 517 Covid-19 patients were discharged, the number of active cases stood at 4,532 in the state.
