On July 23, Nirmala Sitharaman during her speech in Parliament discussed necessary allocations focusing on employment, skilling, MSMEs, and the middle class. She announced the Prime Minister’s package, which includes five schemes and initiatives designed to provide employment, skilling, and other opportunities for 4.1 crore youth over a five-year period, with a central outlay of ₹2 lakh crore.

In the interim Budget, Nirmala Sitharaman also mentioned in her speech about concentration on four main groups: the poor, women, youth, and farmers. For farmers, we have raised the Minimum Support Prices for all major crops to guarantee a minimum 50% profit margin over production costs. Furthermore, the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana has been extended for five more years, benefiting over 80 crore people,” she said.
