Taylor Swift’s New Eras Tour Outfit Sparks Rumors Of ‘Reputation Taylor’s Version’ Easter Eggs

Taylor Swift, the pop icon known for her elaborate and detail-rich performances, recently took the stage in Milan for the first night of the European leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour. Fans were quick to notice intriguing new outfit details for the Fearless, 1989, and The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection (TTPD) sets, leading to widespread speculation that a re-recorded version of her “Reputation” album may be on the horizon.

During the Fearless set, Swift debuted a new black and gold fringe dress designed by Roberto Cavalli, reminiscent of their Ray of Gold capsule collection by Fausto Puglisi. This dress drew comparisons to her 2018 Reputation Stadium Tour outfits, including a black and gold zip-up overcoat from “End Game” and a similar bodysuit from “King of My Heart.” The pattern of crystals and micro-beads on the dress also echoed the red and black bodysuit she wore during the 1989 set on the Reputation tour. Additionally, the tiger print on the dress brought to mind the oversized hoodie with a sequined tiger that Swift wore in the “Look What You Made Me Do” music video.

The Milan show also featured Swift in a coordinated sparkly blue blouse and skater skirt for the 1989 set, a departure from her usual mismatched outfits for this segment of the tour. Fans were quick to draw parallels to her frilly blue ensemble from the “Delicate” music video, a song from the Reputation album, and another matching blue outfit she wore in August 2022 when announcing the release date for 1989 TV in California. These connections have fueled fan theories about a potential re-recording release.

Swift’s impressive and detail-oriented fanbase on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) has been buzzing with speculation. One fan pointed out that Swift played “Shake It Off” from 1989 during the Reputation tour while wearing a black and gold outfit. Another tweeted, “OK NEW FEARLESS DRESS WHICH IS REPUTATION-CODED HMM, SO WHAT IF TAYLOR WEARS A NEW REP-CODED DRESS FOR AN ERA IN EVERY SHOW AND AT THE END SHE’LL FINALLY WEAR A NEW DRESS FOR REPUTATION ERA AND SHE’LL ANNOUNCE REPUTATION TV!?!? CLOWNS, WALK WITH ME.”

Fans also noted the resemblance of the new dress to tiger stripes, linking it to the 1989 outfits featuring a tiger motif. “Has anyone pointed out that this dress looks like tiger stripes and she’s got the little tiger on the 1989 outfits??? Coincidence??” tweeted one fan, while another remarked, “It’s so rep tour oh my God.”

Adding to the excitement, Swift debuted a new outfit for her The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection set in Milan, featuring lyrics from “Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me.” This has led to speculation that Swift may be hinting at a new music video for the TTPD song, continuing her tradition of leaving Easter eggs for fans to decipher.

With Swift’s knack for intricate details and hidden messages, fans eagerly await further clues and potential announcements regarding her highly anticipated re-recordings.
