Mahabharat Star Nitish Bharadwaj Predicts Prabhas Fate In Kalki 2898 AD Sequel

The Renowned artist famous for his portrayal of Lord Krishna in BR Chopra’s epic Mahabharat series (1988), actor Nitish Bharadwaj has now shifted his focus to the futuristic realm of Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. In a recent News18 interview, Nitish Bharadwaj lauded Ashwin for his creative utilization of Mahabharat characters in crafting Kalki, the ultimate incarnation of Mahavishnu.

Nitish praised filmmakers from the South, saying they connect deeply with Indian stories and epics. He suggested that Hindi filmmakers should learn from them. Nitish also pointed out how Kalki stands out by blending visuals like those in Mad Max with a strong storyline.

Looking forward, Nitish Bharadwaj made an exciting guess about what might happen in the next part of Kalki 2898 AD. He predicted that Prabhas’ character, Karna, could meet a sad end while trying to find forgiveness, guided by Ashwatthama (played by Amitabh Bachchan) and Krishna. Nitish humorously remarked that he could portray Krishna openly, without obscuring the deity’s identity. Addressing the portrayal of Krishna, director Nag Ashwin clarified the decision to maintain a mysterious, silhouette-like presence for the character, emphasizing the symbolic depth it adds to the narrative.

Kalki 2898 AD, a grand 3D spectacle, has been touted as India’s most expensive film, with an estimated budget of ₹600 crore. The mythological and sci-fi epic, which premiered worldwide on June 27, showcases a stellar cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana.

As the saga unfolds, audiences await to witness how Nag Ashwin’s visionary blend of mythology and futuristic drama will captivate viewers across languages and cultures.
