Italian Escape at HKV’s newest – Trattoria Hugo

Trattoria Hugo, the newest addition to the culinary scene in Hauz Khas, is a delightful haven for food enthusiasts seeking a taste of authentic Italian cuisine. Standing aesthetically in the heart of the bustling neighborhood, this charming eatery offers a perfect blend of delectable dishes, inviting ambience, and an array of video games that adds an old-school 90’s charm and promises a memorable dining experience.

As we stepped into Trattoria Hugo, we were greeted by a warm and cozy atmosphere that exudes a rustic charm. The soft glow of ambient lighting, coupled with tasteful artsy and Vincent Van Gogh-inspired decor, sets the stage for a relaxing meal.

We started our meal with refreshing beverages and ordered their Homebrewed Peach Iced Tea and Homebrewed Honey Iced Tea. The drinks were a delightful treat for the taste buds, offering a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess. The Mint Mojito, with its invigorating blend of mint and lime, was a refreshing choice that left us feeling rejuvenated.

Moving on to the appetizers, the Fried Chicken, Sriracha Panuzzo was a standout dish that packed a flavorful punch. The crispy chicken paired with the spicy Sriracha sauce was a winning combination that left us craving for more. The Avocado Guac, Confit, Tomato, Goat Cheese Panuzzo was a delightful medley of fresh ingredients that tantalized our palates with its creamy texture and bold flavors.

For the main course, we indulged in the Truffle Fries, a decadent treat that satisfied our cravings for something savory and indulgent. The Prosciutto Di Parma Pizza was a true masterpiece, with its thin crust, generous toppings of prosciutto, and flavorful tomato sauce. The Ravioli Di Spinaci E Bomba Di Burrata was a symphony of flavors, with the creamy burrata cheese complementing the delicate spinach-filled ravioli perfectly.

To end our meal on a sweet note, we savored the Irish Cream Gelato, a luscious coffee dessert that left us feeling utterly satisfied. The Chocolate Fondant, with its gooey center and rich chocolate flavor, was a decadent finale that left us craving for more.
This newbie in town is a culinary gem that offers a delightful fusion of authentic Italian flavors and inviting ambience. Every aspect of our dining experience was truly exceptional, making it a must-visit destination.
