Indian national Nikhil Gupta, suspected by the US of involvement in an unsuccessful plot to assassinate the India-designated pro-Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on American soil, has been extradited to the United States from the Czech Republic. Gupta, accused of conspiring with an Indian government official in the alleged assassination attempt, will be produced at the Federal courthouse in New York.
In an exclusive interview with ANI, Gupta’s US-based lawyer, attorney Jeffrey Chabrowe, expressed his commitment to vigorously pursuing Gupta’s defense, emphasizing the need for him to receive full due process, irrespective of external pressures. Chabrowe stressed the complexity of the matter for both countries and cautioned against rushing to conclusions at this early stage.
