Proudly showcasing his Indian connection, 12-year-old Bruhat Soma has recently shared another accomplishment – that is memorizing 80 percent of Bhagavad Geeta.

Talking to ANI, soma said, “So, actually, the Bhagavad Gita, I did this program called Pragma, and it taught me the Vishnu, Saranamam and the Bhagavad Gita. And, yeah, the Bhagavad Gita is 700 slokas. And then they teach, like, a few slokas per class, and then we memorized them,” said soma.

He claimed, that, he slowly memorized Bhagavad Geeta, then he learnt spellings. After winning spelling bee, he is going to finish the scared book, as he greatly believes in divine energy, because god makes so many things happen.

Later, talking about his heritage and Indian roots, Indian-origin boy shared, that he hails from Telangana. He expressed immense joy in knowing that his relatives were supporting him enthusiastically.

“A lot of my relatives are in India, most of them are in India. They’ve sent congratulations. A lot of them watch the video. So, yeah, that’s pretty exciting to know that all of my relatives back in India were rooting for me.” revealed soma.

Sharing his enthusiasm about clinching the competition, bruhat revealed, “When I won, I was excited. I was really happy because, for the past year, I’ve been working hard. So, when I just won, it was like a dream come true.”

Meanwhile, discussing about prize amount and how he plans to spend it, Bruhat plans to donate the amount for worthy cause. “Well, I mean, for the USD 50,000, I’ve decided to donate it to a good cause, but I don’t know the cause yet. But yeah, it will be for a good cause.”

Discussing his future aspirations, Bruhat aims to become a doctor and believes that winning this prize will significantly aid him in reaching his goal.
