Chirag Paswan: Those Focused on ‘Mutton Parties’ Won’t Grasp Rahul Gandhi’s Agniveer Scheme Pledge

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s election pledge to abolish the Agniveer scheme if the Congress-led INDIA bloc assumes power at the Centre, Chirag Paswan, the chief of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), criticized those who prioritize indulging in lavish feasts over understanding the significance of initiatives like the military recruitment program. Paswan emphasized that such individuals, who he described as only caring about “mutton parties,” lack comprehension of schemes like Agniveer, which aim to empower the country’s youth. Speaking to ANI, Paswan asserted, “After June 4, all these people will be throwing mutton parties for one another,” in response to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks regarding scrapping the Agniveer scheme.

Tejashwi Yadav, a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal and a member of the Congress-led INDIA bloc, recently shared a video of lunch with Rahul Gandhi, where the latter was seen enjoying mutton. Commenting on the Congress’s stance on the Agniveer scheme, Paswan criticized the party for what he perceives as self-defeating statements that benefit the NDA. He also accused the Congress of insulting the Indian Army, attributing the party’s decline to this behavior.

Dismissing Tejashwi Yadav’s predictions for the Lok Sabha polls, Paswan asserted that the NDA is poised for a significant victory in 2024, surpassing its performance in 2019. He confidently stated that the NDA would secure all 40 seats in Bihar and achieve a nationwide majority, forming the government with a decisive mandate.

Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s assertion that PM Modi was sent by his “parmatma (his God)” to aid industrialists such as Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani, Paswan argued that the Congress lacks the ability to comprehend the Prime Minister’s intentions. He suggested that those who seek to undermine traditional strengths and engage in appeasement politics fail to grasp the purpose behind the Prime Minister’s actions.

Paswan reminded the Congress of alleged atrocities committed during their tenure in power, referencing incidents like the imposition of emergency in 1975. He accused the Congress of endangering democracy and asserted that their focus remains on destruction rather than understanding the Prime Minister’s objectives.
