Chhattisgarh: Six Injured In Blast At Explosive Factory; Investigation Underway

Six people were injured after a blast occurred at an explosive factory in Chattisgarh’s Benetarra on Saturday morning. Fire and rescue teams have arrived at the spot. The injured were transported to hospitals in Raipur, with some individuals requiring specialized care at Mekahara and AIIMS facilities.

The reason for the explosion is still being looked into.
The explosive plant here experienced a blast, according to Bemetara Collector Ranbir Sharma. Six injured individuals are transported for medical attention. There are members of the police, fire department, and medical staff there. As of right now, the reports (about the casualties) are unverified. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the explosion.
“An explosion occurred in a Bemetara explosives facility. An investigation is in progress. The Chief of Police is immediately available. The deputy CM of Chhattisgarh, Vijay Sharma, promised to release further information soon.

Arun Sao, the deputy chief minister of Chhattisgarh, gave more information and emphasised how serious the incident was.

“A major explosion has been reported at a gunpowder factory in Borsi, Bemetara. I am in contact with the administration. The entire team, including the SP and Collector, is present at the site of the incident. It is confirmed that a significant explosion has occurred, and there is a possibility of further explosions. Fire trucks and other relief teams have arrived. Rescue and relief operations have commenced rapidly. The injured are being sent to Raipur for proper treatment. The administration’s full team is dedicated to rescue and relief efforts, prioritizing quick relief for the people. The explosion has resulted in a large pile of debris. Official information is still forthcoming, but those injured are being referred to Raipur hospitals, with some being sent to Mekahara and others to AIIMS. The administration is focused on ensuring proper treatment for the injured,” Chhattisgarh Deputy CM Arun Sao said.
