Ajit Pawar Mocks Nephew Rohit Pawar Ahead Of Baramati Fight

With the third phase of the Lok Sabha Election just around the corner, the rivalry between the two sets of Pawar has commenced.

The Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has recently mocked the MLA of NCP Sharadchandra Pawar faction and his nephew Rohit Pawar over the wiping off tears after he got emotional during a speech in Supriya Sule’s support.

Mockingly the deputy chief minister said “I told you someone will try to play on your emotions. But such acts don’t work.”

Retorting Rohit Pawar said to ANI, “At last, I am a human being Yes, I got emotional after listening to various statements made against Pawar saheb.”

Why Rohit Pawar Got Emotional?

During a public rally in Supriya Sule ‘support, Rohit Pawar got emotional while saying “When the party got split, I met (Sharad) Pawar saheb with some party workers … Pawar saheb told me that till youths from our party take leadership or reach the level of taking leadership, I will not close my eyes (die)… I replied to Saheb, ‘you take your word back and do not repeat it ever. We and the whole family will always back you, we will always remain with you’.”- Rohit Pawar

Meanwhile addressing the Baramati public rally in Pune district, Ajit Pawar further said “It was me (Rohit) who taught him politics, and now he is making comments on me, but I don’t pay attention to criticism and continue working with development is my only priority.”

Later in the speech he also hailed Prime minister Narendra Modi as India’s “vikas purush”. And further alleged that baramati under Sule has not received any funds from centre in the last 15 years.

But he also declared that now developmental projects worth 2,499 crore have been approved.

Details of Baramati Constituency 

This election, the Baramarti of Pune district will witness a tough a fight between two sets of Pawar family. The wife of Ajit Pawar, Sunetra Pawar is contesting elections against sitting MP and Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule.

Recently, In the last day of the campaign, both split groups of NCP conducted public rallies in Baramati which is called Sangata Sabha (meaning last public rally) in Marathi. Before the constituency goes on polls on May 7.

It remains to be seen which faction of Pawar prevails this Lok Sabha Election.
