India has responded strongly to Pakistan’s comments made by its UN envoy Munir Akram during the recent UNGA meeting. India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj delivered a stern retort, criticizing Pakistan for its “destructive and pernicious” remarks.
Kamboj’s response came after Akram’s address on ‘Culture of Peace,’ where he touched on topics such as Kashmir, the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, and Ayodhya’s Ram Temple. Kamboj expressed India’s disappointment, highlighting Pakistan’s “most dubious track record” on various aspects.
During her statement, Kamboj emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue and urged for a focus on the central principles of respect and diplomacy in international discussions. She condemned terrorism as being against the core teachings of religions and called for collective efforts to nurture a genuine culture of peace.
