Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Yash Casts Ballot in Bengaluru

During the second phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Bengaluru’s Hosakerehalli, actor Yash had his finger marked with ink.

The ‘KGF’ actor arrived at his designated polling station wearing a pink shirt, white pants, and sunglasses.

In the first phase of polling, the constituencies of Udupi, Chikamagalur, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore North, Bangalore Central, Bangalore South, Chikballapur, and Kolar in Karnataka will undergo voting.

During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP secured victory in 25 out of the 28 seats, establishing significant dominance in the electoral outcomes. However, in a departure from this trend, the BJP has allocated three seats to its coalition partner in the state, the JDS, for this particular election.

The JDS has nominated candidates to contest in Hassan, Mandya, and Kolar, which are the three constituencies.

Voting for the second phase, covering 88 seats across 13 states and Union Territories (UTs), commenced on Friday at 7 a.m. and will conclude at 6 p.m.

The initial round of voting for the seven-phase general elections concluded successfully on April 19, covering 102 constituencies across 21 states and Union Territories (UTs). According to the Election Commission, over 62% of eligible voters participated in the first phase of polling.

The third phase of elections is scheduled for May 7th.
