Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ Announced for Eid 2025

On the occasion of Eid, Salman Khan announced the title of his forthcoming film with AR Murugadoss. Known for his Eid releases, the actor will not have a theatrical release this year but has vowed to make a comeback on the big screen for Eid 2025. During the Eid 2024 celebrations, he disclosed that he has secured the Eid slot for the following year for his new project with AR Murugadoss and revealed the title as ‘Sikandar’.

On Instagram, Salman revealed a title slate stating, “Sajid Nadiadwala presents Salman Khan in and as Sikandar.”Along with the announcement, he acknowledged this year’s Eid releases, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan. “Iss Eid ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ aur ‘Maidaan’ ko dekho aur agli Eid Sikandar se aa kar milo…. Wish u all Eid Mubarak!”

In a recent conversation with The Times of India, A R Murugadoss hinted at the film’s content. He stated, “In addition to high-octane action sequences, it will be packed with emotions and also carry a powerful social message. It will be a pan-India film. Audiences can expect to see a new kind of Salman Khan in this film.”

In conclusion, he stated, “Salman and I had talked about this project five years ago, but we couldn’t move forward with it then due to certain circumstances. Recently, he requested another narration. Following that, he mentioned that the script resonated well with him and inquired if we could commence work on it right away.”

Meanwhile, Pinkvilla has disclosed that Sikander “will be shot in Portugal and other European countries apart from some portions in India on a huge budget of Rs 400 crore, making it the most ambitious film of Sajid Nadiadwala.”
