Don’t let me open my mouth…’ – Atul Wasson’s aggressive response to Virat Kohli’s coach Rajkumar Sharma on the question ‘supporting Delhi’

When the former Indian cricketer and now a commentator, Atul Wassan speaks his heart out during any show, it seems like he doesn’t hold anything, and the word ‘hesitation’ looks very small to Wassan’s bluntness. There’ve been a lot of instances when Atul Wassan spoke his heart out and came up with blunt opinions while speaking about Indian cricket, be it in the TV talk shows or in his commentary stint.

A similar incident happened recently during a live TV show where Atul Wassan and Rajkumar Sharma, Virat Kohli’s childhood coach were the guests on the panel of the show. During the show, Indian Sports Fans founder Sunil Kalra asked Rajkumar Sharma about the poor performance of Mumbai Indians, while comparing it with the Delhi Capitals.
“See, it is quite unfortunate when the big teams like Delhi and Mumbai fail to win the match,” said Rajkumar Sharma to Sunil Kalra while replying to the latter’s question.
However, this statement from Rajkumar Sharma didn’t seem to go down well with Atul Wassan and he came up with an explosive and blunt response.

“Just now, Rajkumar Sharma said that Mumbai and Delhi are the big teams, I can agree with the point that Mumbai is a big team, but when and how Delhi is a big team? You understand just one thing, if the teams like MI and DC win, so won’t it be an unfortunate thing for the other teams who’ll lose,” said Rajkumar Sharma.
Furthermore, Rajkumar Sharma came up with a defense to his point while countering Atul Wasson’s response with a ‘Delhi’ factor.

“Atul, me and you, both are from Delhi, so don’t you feel bad when Delhi loses any match. You have also been a chief of selectors in Delhi’s state cricket setup, isn’t it enough for you to support Delhi,” he said.
Subsequently, the reply Atul Wassan came with wasn’t expected by anyone who was there in the show.

“See, don’t let me open my mouth and spill the beans, accept that Delhi is not a big team, and yeah, there are a lot of things to say due to which you’re still there in DDCA, and I am not there anymore,” Wassan replied.
