Maha Shivratri is a festival celebrated by Hindus to  celebrate the divine marriage of  Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati

It marks the convergence of Shiva and Shakti, symbolizing the union of the divine masculine and feminine energies.

The festival is also associated with the legend of the Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean), where Lord Shiva saved the world by consuming the poison that emerged from the ocean.

Devotees observe fasts, perform rituals, and offer prayers to seek Lord Shiva's blessings for prosperity, health, and spiritual growth.

Devotees believe that Lord Shiva grants any wish that they might have on this auspicious day
