Before Rahul’s Nyay Yatra, a big setback in UP

Chaudhary Charan Singh included in Bharat Ratna strengthens Jat politics.

Just before the entry of former Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh, preparations have been made to give another big blow to the I.N.D.I.A alliance. After the announcement of giving Bharat Ratna to former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, it is now certain that Rashtriya Lok Dal will join NDA. RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary, while expressing his happiness has indicated this. Now, just the day and time is to be decided for when he will join NDA.

Similarly, in Bihar as well, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who has been a key figure in I.N.D.I.A alliance also faced criticism. Before Nitish’s return, there was an announcement to confer Bharat Ratna on Karpoori Thakur. After this, Nitish Thakur returned to NDA. Although, in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP was already in a strong position, with the coming together of RLD, the party will not only become more powerful but the opposition clan will also disintegrate.

Along with Chaudhary Charan Singh, the NDA government also announced the award of Bharat Ratna to MS Swaminathan and former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao. Apart from Swaminathan, the bestowing of Bharat Ratna on the remaining two is seen as a significant political move. Especially, presenting the Bharat Ratna to former PM Charan Singh will have a direct impact on the farmer community, as well as the Jat-majority states will also be influenced.

The BJP alliance will benefit in Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. The politics in west Uttar Pradesh will transform completely. RLD leader Jayant Singh, even before joining the NDA, took to X and wrote, “Dil jeet liya”, indicating he might join the NDA.

The talks of RLD joining the NDA have been around for a while now. If sources are to be believed, Lok Dal had some conditions, one of which was to present Bharat Ratna to Chaudhary Charan Singh. PM Narendra Modi announced the award himself on his official X handle.

As far as the remaining seats are concerned, the BJP can give two Lok Sabha and one Rajya Sabha seat to RLD. Of the Lok Sabha seats, one in Baghpat and the other in Mathura can go to RLD. As soon as RLD becomes a part of the NDA, it will become a big compulsion for the Samajwadi Party to keep Congress with it. It is possible that Akhilesh Yadav may give 21 to 22 seats to Congress as per the demand of Congress.

Next week, when Rahul will enter Uttar Pradesh, another party may have been separated from the I.N.D.I.A alliance. Uttar Pradesh has become a state where the opposition is considerably weak. Despite the alliance of SP and Congress, they don’t seem to be in a position to challenge the NDA government.
Meanwhile, the impact of conferring the Bharat Ratna to P.V. Narasimha Rao will definitely be seen in Telangana politics. Former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has expressed his happiness and gratitude to PM Modi for this decision.

After Rahul Gandhi started his Nyay Yarta, there has been a continuous breakdown of the I.N.D.I.A alliance. First, Mamata separated, then Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, followed by the Aam Aadmi Party, and now after the separation of the RLD, only a few parties will remain in the alliance.
