In view of the forthcoming parliamentary polls, the Bigwigs from ruling opposition are leaving no stone unturned to strengthen their position as well as claim for the ticket. Several stalwarts in the ruling saffron BJP have showcased their desire to contest the polls. Hisar which is one the most prominent Sabha seats in the state having political legacy is believed to witness multi cornered battle among the BJP contenders seeking ticket. Amid this, the battle for the ticket on Hisar seat has intensified after the BJP backed state cabinet minister Ranjit Singh Chautala has staked his claim for ticket on Hisar seat indicating new political developments and stir in political corridors. His claim to the BJP ticket from Hisar Lok Sabha seat is being considered a move which is likely to spark a political storm in the BJP. In continuation to aforesaid, the list of contenders in fray for ticket on Hisar Lok Sabha seats comprises several BJP big shots Chaudhary Birender Singh’s sin and sitting MP Brijender Singh, Kuldeep Bishnoi and Captain Abhimanyu. Now, BJP supported Ranjeet Singh’s claim for ticket on Hisar seat led to tough battle for the same making the saffron BJP to mull over suitable candidate.

Hisar Lok Sabha constituency has always remained the bone of contention between two prominent political families of Haryana – Chaudhry Birender Singh and Chautalas for years. Earlier, both the families have taken on each other multiple times in their long-running battle of political one-upmanship which still continues for political dominance as well as mileage ahead of polls existing as key factor for the discord between the main ruling BJP and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) , it partner in power for a span of last more than four years. In this row, political experts are of the opinion that the battle for Hisar parliamentary constituency and Uchana assembly seat is most likely to be more intensified between both prominent political families staking their claims and counter-claims on them for forthcoming polls.

It is worth noting that the Hisar parliamentary seat is currently represented by the BJP’s Brijendra Singh, son of former Union minister Birender Singh.while JJP leader Dushyant Chautala who holds the heavy portfolio of Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant, had contested the assembly polls rom Uchana Kalan successfully. Both the families have taken on each other in these two seats. Both families have been eyeball to eyeball multiple times in their long-running battle on these seats. Ranjeet Singh’s claim for the ticket can be explained with several aspects.

Being upset with the denial of ticket and citing negligence, he had quit the congress ahead of assembly polls and contested the election successfully as an independent candidate and further extended the support to the BJP which failed to gain majority in 2019. Besides, he belongs to the one of prominent Chautala family in Haryana. Despite being an independent MLA , the BJP had given him a berth in the state cabinet with a heavy portfolio namely Power and Jail Minister in the state. It is pertinent to mention that Ranjit Chautala is an independent MLA from Sirsa’s Rania in 2019 and in view of this stature, he was given the post of minister to strike political balance due to his connection with the Chautala family. It is directly evident from the political scenario in the state BJP that he is in good books of party high command and believed to be close one to the Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Thus, his claim for the ticket on Hisar seat has turned the battle into multi cornered fight adding to the woes of other contenders in fray namely Kuldeep Bishnoi, sitting MP Brijender Singh and Captain Abhimanyu along with the JJP heavyweight and Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala.

Notably, following the final call to be taken by the BJP high command, Ranjeet Singh has announced to hold a rally in Hisar constituency in the month of the Hisar ahead of polls. Other BJP contenders Brijender Singh, Kuldeep Bishnoi and Captain Abhimanyu have been on toes to strengthen their claims for the ticket.
