A sensational case of firing outside the house of an NRI has come to light in Guniyana Dera of village Gondar in Karnal. The miscreants arrived in a white-colored car, firing 7 to 8 rounds. Panic has gripped the house since the incident. Upon receiving information about the event, the Nising police promptly reached the scene, where they took custody of the bullet shells scattered outside the house.
Karmapal Singh, a resident of Dera Guniana Road, Ranjit Nagar, Gondar, resides in a camp built in the fields. One of his sons has been in America for 5-6 years, while Karmapal lives at home with his wife and mother. On January 24, at around 8:30 pm, armed miscreants fired indiscriminately at the gate of the house.
Upon hearing the gunfire, Karmapal, along with his wife and mother, came out of the house. However, by that time, the accused had fled in the car. The number of miscreants was four to five, and they drove the car towards Guniana. Notably, the vehicle had no number plate.
Karmapal mentioned that bullet shells were found outside his house, consisting of both pistol and revolver shells. Bullet marks were visible on the walls and doors, and there were signs of some aerial firing.
Upon hearing the gunshots, people from nearby camps also reached the spot. Karmapal emphasized that he has no enmity with anyone and believes that the firing was intended to create an atmosphere of panic.
Nising police arrived at the scene during the night, recording Karmapal’s statement and securing the bullet shells. The investigating officer, Dayanand, stated that based on Karmapal’s complaint, a case has been registered against 4-5 people, and the investigation is underway.
