Haryana Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta will hoist the flag as the chief guest and take the salute at the parade during the district-level Republic Day function organised at Parade Ground in Sector-5, Panchkula, on January 26. Municipal Corporation Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal Kalka will be the chief guest at the sub-division level program.
Before the district-level program, a full-dress final rehearsal was organised today at the Parade Ground in Sector-5, where Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan hoisted the flag and took the salute during the grand march-past. Deputy Commissioner of Police Sumer Pratap Singh was also present on this occasion.
During the full-dress final rehearsal, the Parade Commander led the contingent, including District Police, District Mahila Police, Haryana Home Guard, ITBP, NCC Senior Wing, NCC Junior Wing, NCC Junior Division. A grand march-past was presented by the students of Satluj Public School Sector 4. Additionally, children from D.A.V School Sector 8, Government Senior Secondary School Sector 6, Bhawan Vidyalaya Sector 15, St. Soldier School Sector 16, Sarthak School Sector 12, Hansraj Public School, and Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Sector 15 participated in cultural activities. Various interesting program presentations were given. Furthermore, a dog show was demonstrated for the first time by ITBP, with Pradeep Rathore conducting the stage.
