Ahead of the grand occasion of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today on Thursday released a series of commemorative postage stamps dedicated to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and a book featuring stamps from around the world honoring the revered deity.
The authentic design of the stamp captures key components are:
1) The Ram Mandir
2) Choupai ‘Mangal Bhavan Amangal Hari’
3) Sun
4) Saryu River
5) Sculptures in and around the Temple
In total, there are about six stamps including Lord Ram, Lord Ganesha, Lord Hanuman, Jatayu, Kevatraj, and Ma Shabri.
Disclosing the stamp, PM Modi said, “Today, I got an opportunity to engage myself in another programme related to the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Today, six postage stamps dedicated to the Ram Temple were released. Besides, a book of stamps issued on Lord Ram around the world was also released.”
He added, “Lord Ram, Goddess Sita and stories of Ramayana are connected with everyone irrespective of his/ her religion or caste. Ramayana teaches us about the victory of love despite all the challenges. It connects the entire humanity with itself, and that’s why it has gathered attraction across the entire world.”
This stamp book is an attempt to make Shri Ram visible in the world wide. This 48-page book covers more than of 20 countries including like US, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, Cambodia and organisations like the UN.
