BJP condemns Congress leader’s alleged disrespect to Indian flag

Haryana BJP spokesperson Ranjita Mehta has stated that India will not tolerate an insult to the national flag. She mentioned that All India Mahila Congress President Alka Lamba made a tweet in which she used the Ethiopian flag instead of the Indian flag while discussing the Nyaya Yatra. Ranjita Mehta expressed concern that Alka Lamba seems to be demanding justice for the people in Ethiopia. When questioned about this tweet, Alka Lamba reportedly deleted the post featuring the Ethiopian flag. Ranjita Mehta emphasized that Alka Lamba, who has previously served as the president of NSUI and as an MLA, displaying a lack of knowledge about the Indian flag is a matter of great shame. Mehta asserted that the Congress party, by appointing irresponsible individuals to key positions, is disrespecting India, and they should apologize to the people of the country for this insult.

During a press conference at Panchkamal, Ranjita Mehta urged the Congress party to take note of the situation and remove Alka Lamba from her position. She questioned how Rahul Gandhi can seek justice for those who oppose the Indian flag and commit injustices against it. Mehta revealed that Alka Lamba had previously used abusive language against senior officer Sharad Pawar, prompting her to delete the tweet. Mehta accused Lamba of being adept at misbehavior with people, pointing out the contradiction between Rahul Gandhi’s calls for justice and the disrespect shown to the Indian flag. The Bharatiya Janata Party, according to Mehta, will not remain silent against such insults.

Regarding the state of the Congress party in Haryana, Mehta mentioned that it has divided into four groups: Shailaja Congress, Hooda Congress, Randeep Surjewala Congress, and Kiran Choudhary Congress. Each group, she observed, is pursuing its own agenda, and the lack of unity among leaders is apparent. Responding to questions from journalists, Mehta asserted that the BJP will win all 10 seats in Haryana in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. She expressed confidence that the BJP will secure a significant majority in the assembly elections, providing the state with a stable government. Mehta credited the BJP-led government in Haryana, under the leadership of Manohar Lal, for effective governance, development, and addressing people’s needs through initiatives like the Jan Samvad Yatra.

Regarding the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Mehta claimed that AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha, who once predicted a day when only one Congress would exist, has now aligned with Congress. She questioned the continuity of this alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and whether the AAP would concede the Chandigarh seat to Congress. Mehta criticized Congress for lacking unity on the Ram Temple issue and accused them of obstructing even those who wish to visit the temple, highlighting the invitation from Lord Ram to the entire country.
