Historic Kalash Yatra to be organised in Chandigarh

To commemorate the consecration of the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya, a historic Kalash Yatra is scheduled to take place in Chandigarh on Monday, January 15. Thousands of Ram devotees, religious and social organizations from the tricity, along with women’s groups, youth, and more, will participate in this significant event. Elaborate arrangements, including tableaux, around 2000 kalash, horses, camels, a band, DJ, etc., have been made to make the Yatra grand. The Shobha Yatra will be welcomed at various locations along the fixed route.
Rambir Bhatti, the Yatra coordinator, shared these details during a press conference at Shri Sanatan Dharam Mandir, Sector 15B. Bhimsen Ji, Ravindra Pathania, Rajesh Kalia, President of Hindu Parv Mahasabha, Shri BP Arora, President of Ramlila Committee Bhupendra Sharma, President of Gaurishankar Seva Dal Ramesh Nikku, President of Balaji Prachar Mandal Sunil Arora Ji, and Shri Om Prakash Shastri of India, Vice President of Bharat Vikas Parishad Arunesh Aggarwal, Dr. Manmohan Garg from Aggarwal Family Organization, Shri Kiran Narad from Vyapar Mandal, and heads of many other organizations were present during the conference.
During discussions with journalists, Convenor Bhatti expressed joy and emphasized the significance of Lord Ram’s consecration in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya after 500 years. He highlighted the extensive celebrations of this festival not only in India but also abroad. Additionally, a grand event is being organized by Shri Ram Kripa Seva Trust in Chandigarh on January 22, where a grand story, bhajan kirtan, and Shri Ram Katha by Shri Kumar Vishwas Ji will take place.
As part of the celebrations, Kalash Yatra will be organized by more than 1008 sisters in Chandigarh. The Yatra will feature Shri Ram Ji’s army on horses and camels, electric tableaux, a special band from Delhi, and various other tableaux representing Lord Valmiki’s Darbar, Ram Darbar, Hanuman Darbar, and more. The Kalash Yatra will start from Sanatan Dharam Mandir, Sector 23B, at 2.30 pm, passing through Sectors 22, 21, and 20, reaching the Katha Sthal of Sector 34.
